Beyond uncomfortable judgements
I’d failed to acknowledge
forged reality dissolved into illusion.
Most of us find it’s easier to hangout with negative thoughts then it is to make friends with current reality. You see, current reality is rarely as dire as we tell ourselves yet we dwell in a space giving us little room for hope, and little room to imagine our life lifted up to a higher level. This is not new news, is it?
Being caught in a negative space leaves us with little energy to direct toward our intentions, so what’s the answer to climbing out of this room surrounded by anti intention? The answer might surprise you because it’s so obvious. Self reflection coupled with pen and paper may just be the answer you didn’t know you were look for.
Self Reflection is foundational to mindfulness and mindfulness practice is foundational to intention. I’m pretty sure you’re wondering what I’m smoking right now, but I assure you it’s true. Contrary to the hype surrounding mindfulness, it’s not about not thinking, no it’s about recognizing what your thinking while not attaching to those thoughts. Once you acknowledge your thoughts you gently turn back to focusing on the task at hand, that task may be meditating, writing or fixing a flat tire. Mindfulness will open your mind to a deeper self reflection then you may have ever experienced before.
Once you connect with your thoughts through self reflection aided by mindfulness you’ll find yourself tapping into and manifesting much deeper and more powerful intentions.
